Mrs. Emily Crayton, our fourth-grade teacher, is looking to build up a collection of games for a Tabletop Games Club for Grades 3-5. She is looking for donations of board games and card games that are good for ages 8-12. Anything that has all of its pieces and is in usable condition would be excellent. Games can be dropped off at school between 7:45 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday through Friday or contact the church office to make other arrangements: 414-483-9122. Thank you!

A tree was removed by the Buildings & Grounds committee from the greenspace south of the parsonage. There is plenty of firewood available for free located on the southside of the church garage. Please help yourself. There are some smaller pieces and some larger pieces that may need some chopping before transporting. Whatever is not gone by the end of October will be put in the dumpster. Thank you!

What is it like to live in Christian community? We hope a book discussion on “Life Together” by Dietrich Bonhoeffer will help to answer this question. This story of a unique fellowship in an underground seminary during the Nazi years reads like one of Paul's letters. It gives practical advice on how life together in Christ can be sustained in families and groups. The role of personal prayer, worship in common, everyday work, and Christian service are topics for consideration.  Starting on Thursday, Oct. 7, at 7 p.m. in the church sanctuary, come for one-and-a-half hours of lively conversation, quiet prayer, foot-stomping music, and sweet Christian friendship. Leave with a new and deeper understanding of what it means to live in Christian community.

Sunday Adult/Teen Bible Study: In the Dust of the Rabbi. An ancient Jewish proverb states "Follow the Rabbi, drink in his words, and be covered with the dust of his feet." In Jesus' day, disciples followed their Rabbi so closely that they would be covered with the dust kicked up by the Rabbi's feet. Come, discover how you can get dusty and be closer to your Rabbi, Jesus, by doing what he does. This video series is filmed on location in Israel. This five-week Bible study is in the lower level of the church from 10:05-10:50 a.m. on Sunday mornings (Oct. 10 through Nov. 7).
