Seventh graders are currently working on personal narratives and the steps in the process of developing a good personal narrative.They continue to participate in reading workshop with Mr. Gurgel and are reading some captivating books.In math, the seventh grade is doing some all important review of the process of completing basic operations with decimals, a skill that will come in handy later. To move beyond the same thing we were doing in sixth grade, we are also discussing the properties of addition and multiplication more in depth. We finish the chapter with rules that we will see until we are finished with our math education: Order of Operations.Currently, the seventh grade scientists are studying a unit on matter. They will create models of atoms and use the periodic table to distinguish the different characteristics of each element.
