This past week was Lutheran School's Week. It was a special week because we were also celebrating the 140th anniversary of our school. This was our schedule:
Monday: Museum and Play
Tuesda: Pastries with Parents
Wednesday: Historical dress-up
Thursday: Academic Showcase
Friday: Grandparent's Day and Spirit Squads.
Here is a little bit about Lutheran School's Week. On Monday the whole school went to the Milwaukee Public Museum. We expeciially toured the Streets of Old Milwaukee. On Tuesday morning, parents of students met their child in the gym for pastries and a devotion. Wednesday was the fun day. Wednesday was the day you could dress up as someone in history. Thursday was the Academic Showcase. Each classroom had their own time period of the 140 years to study. Our time period was 1872-1900. We made triaramas representing what we studied. Friday involved Grandparent's Day. In the morning grandparents came over to church for chapel and a sing-along. After that their grandkids gave them a tour of their classrooms. Then they went down to the gym for a snack. Then grandparents went home. In the afternoon we played "Ye Old Games: with our spirit squads. Written by Hannah

We do many different things in 5th grade. Every day we have specials. Specials are activities we do after we have recess. Our specials are arranged by "ABCD". We rotate between gym, music, art, and study hall. We enjoy our specials. Another thing we like is every morning we have snack right before we have language. Language is something we do everyday. In language we are right now talking about pronouns. We are also talking about how to make a good "How To" article. In history we learned about different explorers and other famous people. In reading we started a new book called, Dear Mr. Henshaw. Recently in Bible History we learned about Joseph. In math we started working on two or three digit multiplication. So, that's what we do in 5th grade! Cedric and Jacob.
