Mathematics Philosophy

Mathematics is included in the curriculum at St. Lucas Lutheran School. St. Lucas is committed to providing students with a quality education in mathematics so that they can succeed in high school and in the work place. As part of that quality education our teachers will help students acquire important attitudes, necessary knowledge, and complex skills relating to mathematics.

Training mathematics has other positive effects for students. These include improved mental discipline, growth in logical thinking and reasoning ability, and commitment to the concepts of order, exactness, objectivity, and accuracy.
